street vendor

The banana lady
We walk by this little old lady every day as we go to the Service Center.  She's always there selling her multiple varieties of bananas.  We don't know if she grows them or if she purchases them and then re-sells them.  We do know that they are great bananas, and we buy them every chance we get.  Not because we need bananas but because we want to help her out.  We don't know her name - because she doesn't speak English and we don't speak Thai - yet!  But as soon as we can, we plan on asking her name and will share it with you!
Of course, let's don't forget the young missionary vendors

Walking home from the Service Center one day, we came across this sight - the young Elders had their "vendor" sight set up on the sidewalk!  The one on the left was reading from the Book of Mormon while the other 3 Elders (you can only see one other one - the other two were down the sidewalk a bit) were busily making contact with those who would stop for a moment to talk to them.  We'll have to find out how many teaching appointments they were able to make that day!
Fresh fish drying in the sun on the street

This was right in front of the Service Center.  Had not seen anyone set up there before this day.  This vendor was selling fresh fish - flies and all!!  Don't think she charged extra for the flies!!
