Lumphini Park

We decided to visit the site where Elder Gordon B. Hinckley dedicated Thailand for missionary work in 1966. It took place at the Clock Tower inside Lumphini Park.
The Clock Tower

The park is 150 acres, donated by the king with the condition that the government maintain it.

Lots of people enjoy the green space and the ponds.  Many families with children playing.

For Sis. Manning, there is one huge problem - 3-ft monitor lizards occupy the space as well.  They are everywhere, on the land and in the water. People are lying around on blankets close to the shoreline, some are sleeping, others are reading while their children are running and playing. Guess no one goes home with a child missing.

How would you like to wake up with this guy flicking you with his tongue?!!
